That is a good question that hopefully you will ask before booking a China tour with any company. We have been in business for more than ten years, with plans to build our company into the best tour company on the Silk Road in China. We are a registered company in China (you can check out our business registration here: http://www.silkroadtourcn.com/about.html), and we use only tour guides that are licensed by the Chinese government’s Ministry of Tourism office. Our drivers and their vehicles are also licensed and insured. We try to make everything as clear as possible and we encourage questions – the more that we know about what you are looking for in a tour, the better the service that we can provide you. We intend to be in business for a very long time, and building up our credibility and trustworthiness through exceeding our customers’ expectations is the very foundation of our long-term business plan.

Yes, it is sincerely suggested to purchase travel insurance before vacationing in China. Some might think that the personal insurance has everything covered and thus no need for the travel insurance. However, one might come across unexpected troubles, such as injury, illness etc, during the trip in China, and a tiny investment in the travel insurance will be of great help in these cases. Most of the travel insurance policies cover trip cost cancellation and interruption, emergency medical transport and medical expenses etc. Please do carefully read the policy, noting any deductibles, exceptions and exemptions for pre-existing conditions, diseases or areas of the world.

Yes, you can. According to the regulations of General Administration of China Customs, passengers carrying a sum of no more than 20,000 RMB need not to declare at the customs while declaration is strictly demanded for those with over 20,000 RMB. In general, foreign currency exchanges can be found at airports, banks and hotels in China. Therefore carrying excessive amount of Chinese currencies in advance is not particularly necessary.

Its very simple and pleasant.

1).Selecting your desired tour package from our website, then click Inquiry button on the page to submit your details and requests to our website.

2).Get a quotation from us within 24 hours and reach agreement with us on the price, Itinerary and details.

For all regular tours, if you cancel your tour, more than 90 days before departure, you will get a full refund of all your payments. After that, the refund depends on the date of cancellation. If you have any question about the refund, please contact our travel agents.

If you book a package tour with us, we are providing you the Travel Agencies' Liability Insurance, regulated by Nations Tourism Administration of China (CNTA). Under this statute, the clients will receive compensation in cases of property loss, injury, or damage occurred during the guided tour. However, this insurance does not cover any expenses related to accidents uncontrollable to the travel agency.

We strongly recommend you to buy one by yourself in your country.

Your tour is a private tour! Your individual guide will meet you at the airport / train station upon your arrival, showing you around, till seeing you off at the airport / or train station for your next destination. You will not be mixed with other tourists when sightseeing and transferring except for wherever applicable.

Private Tour does not have fixed departures. You can depart at any time you want.

Taking the train in China can be a very interesting experience and a good alternative to the airplane. The train tickets are divided into four categories, namely, soft-sleeper, hard-sleeper, soft-seater, and hard-seater. Each carriage has two washrooms at both of its ends including a Chinese-style toilet (you better bring your own toilet paper).

If you have a soft-sleeper ticket you can stay in a comfortable four beds compartment. In there, there are 2 lower soft berths, 2 upper soft berths and a small table. Meals and drinks can be purchased in the train's restaurant carriage located directly next to the soft sleeper carriage.

We only book soft sleeper tickets for our customers if a flight is not available or on special request (for example if you are afraid of flying). Although traveling by train seams to be harder than by airplane, it offers you many chances to make acquaintance with some Chinese people.
